Where are you from?
Brooklyn, NY born and raised.

When and why did you begin writing?
Started with poetry at 6, then my first screenplay, Trilogy at 16.

What inspired you to write Lies of Blue?
A lot of things that I know happened in my friends lives.

How did you come up with the title?
LIES OF BLUE has many different levels. I invite my readers to
give their own interpretation.  I looked at all of the deceptions the
protagonist is living under.  Also there is the aspect of the Blue
Wall in law enforcement.  Lastly, on a good day you see skies of
blue, but instead she dealt with Lies of Blue.

Who or what has influenced your writing?
Not really so much a person or author, more so life's struggles
inspire me to write.

Do you have a specific writing style?
No, I come up with a story and I write.

Is there a message in your book that you want readers to
grasp?
Several. First and foremost believe in yourself.  Secondly, that
inner voice, your intuition is real, listen to it and know that is God
working through your conscience.
Everything comes with a price.

Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in
your own life?
No, it's just a version of stories that I've heard from friends, but I
fabricated this story.  Any resemblance is completely
coincidental.

Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?
No, I like believe it or not Sandra Brown and Walter Moseley.
If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in
your book?
Well I've made changes and we are re-launching the book in
Jan 2009, so yes there have been a lot of changes over the past
few months.  I am pleased with the outcome.

What are your current projects?
I am focusing on screenplays.  I am writing two screenplays at
this moment, one called Really Real and another called Best
Kept Secret.  In addition I am fine tuning the Lies of Blue
Screenplay.  So my plate is pretty full at the moment.

What was the hardest part of writing your book?
There are some very violent encounters that Lynne goes
through. It actually caused writer's block trying to put those on
paper.

Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?
It is much more difficult that one would think.  Definitely master
your craft.  Make sure you get experienced editors and surround
yourself with an honest knowledgeable team.

Do you have any advice for other writers?
Again learn your craft, don't let the project overwhelm you.
Sometimes it is easier.

Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your
readers?
Follow your dreams and especially at this time in our lives
people have to come together for the bigger picture, human
survival.  Please go out and buy the book, but also get the
message.
