So I will set up the scene for you. It’s early evening downtown
Chicago and I am here with Trey Songs, who stopped through
the city to perform at Secrets Night Club and promote his
album Trey Day, which is currently in stores. As we chill in the
room, my photographer presents Trey with the latest copy of
Asis Magazine (Shout out to Shabazz), and he is very pleased
with what he sees in the pages, as he counts the familiar
faces of the Asset Models. (laughs)

Trey Songz: I’m ready when you ready baby.

KA: I was wondering! (laughs) How are you doing today?

Trey: I am doing fine.

KA: What brings you to the Windy City? You always show
Chicago a lot of love.

Trey Song
z: A lot of people think I am from Chicago. But I have a
show at Secrets, and currently on a promo tour giving people a
taste of what’s happening with the album and promoting Trey
Day.

KA: Who is featured on the album?

Trey Song
z: We did more so production, we have a great list of
production. As far as features I got two cats on there, my boy Bun
B and my boy Jim Jones, no other vocalist. I wanted to make
sure the fans got a lot of me. We got Troy Taylor, Jimmy Jam &
Terry Lewis, B Major, Brian Cox, Stargate, Dre & Vidal, The
Runners, R. Kelly, so it’s a great lists.

KA: What have you been doing since we last heard from you?

Trey Songz: I have been working on the new album and  working
on some things overseas. I have an album out in Mexico right
now that is pretty big,  as well as a record in Japan, a record in
Germany, and some projects here. I was on the Yung Joc
record, Trina, Paul Wall, Bun B, and eve now I’m on a lot of
different projects. But mainly Trey Day making sure that pops off
and that my fans are content with it.

KA: So the first single of the album is doing well.

Trey Song
z: Can’t Help But Wait is the first single off the album,
and I’d like to thank everyone out here in Chicago for making it a
hit.

KA: We heard you reppin hard on WGCI with all the fans calling
in going crazy, so the question ladies want to know is….

Trey Song
z: Yep, I will answer that, I do have someone special in
my life.

KA: See I didn’t even have to finish the question. But I know
there are a lot of sad faces out there.

Trey Song
z: It’s all good, don’t be sad baby, be happy for me.

KA: I know ladies, because he does need love.

Trey Song
z: Everybody need love, don’t leave me out.

KA: Will you be going out on tour anytime soon?

Trey Song
z: We definitely jumping off this promo tour real heavy.
I have been on promo tour for the past two months. Making sure
everyone gets a taste of me, and I hit all markets that I haven’t
been to in a while, and they know what’s going on with me. After
that we are going across seas for a while, then when we return
to the states we got a few possibilities on the line right now, but
until they’re etched in stone I won’t say. Just keep looking out,
you can catch me at www.myspace.com/treysongs

KA: What do you like about MySpace, now that it has exploded
onto the scene more than before?

Trey Song
z: Well I have been on MySpace since 2005.
KA: Do you check your own MySpace?

Trey Songz: Yes I do, but its an abundance now so I can’t get
back to everybody. What I like about MySpace, back in the day
when I was 14 or 15, and I was listening too all those R. Kelly
songs, I couldn’t hit him on his MySpace and ever dream that he
would hit me back. I hit people back and it affects them so much,
and they be so happy. That’s what I like most about the music
business period, that when I do this music I can touch so many
people. I get out there and when I sign autographs, I try to sign
every autograph, give everybody a hug. Because the impact I
have on people is so heavy that it could help them in some way
shape or form, and I love the fact that MySpace lets me reach out
and touch my fans and  I know what records they like, and how
they feel about rather I am being promoted correctly. I can let
them know if I’m at certain club, they can say I met you, we took
this picture, and I love that

.KA: People be hooking up on MySpace, what’s some crazy
messages that you have received from the women? This is
Kre-dible Alerts we get down to the nitty gritty.

Trey Songz: You don’t even want to know. I have had women
draw they fantasies out, and tell me what we go do when I come
to they city. How they like it and all type of stuff. It get crazy on
there sometime, but for the most part I try to stick to the
messages where I can talk to people about Trey Songs and the
artistry.

KA: As you sit here continuing to view the lovely ladies of this
magazine, what is your ideal woman?

Trey Songz: I love women period, (Point to woman in the
magazine, I know her too (laughs)). I think a woman is the most
beautiful thing that could have been created. I like women small,
tall, thick, I’m from the south so I like a lot of ass.

KA: So these women (points to women in magazine) are right
up your alley.

Trey Songz: Yes, yes, yes! I know some of them.

KA: Hmmm, so how is it that you know them?

Trey Songz: They be in videos, photo shoots, parties, and they
get paid to be at events and they host parties.

KA: You sing about love, has a woman ever broke your heart?

Trey Songz: Yes my heart has been broken before.

KA: Have you wrote about it?

Trey Songz: “Cheat on You” is about somebody, off the first
project.

KA: It was a pleasure kickin’ back with you today, Trey Day is
in stores, cop the album! It’s your girl Kreoliciouz, and you
have just been kreolized with another exclusive!
